The London Bus Initiative, otherwise known as
busPlus, incorporates a number of measures that can help cycling, such as more bus-and-cycle lanes. At the
same time, there is the danger that, without scrutiny, some measures may do the opposite.
The London Cycling Campaign in Hackney has participated actively in the consultation process so far. and
we have highlighted a number of significant opportunities to improve access and conditions for cycle
traffic while busPlus work is being done.
Our responses to BusPlus proposals:
- Route 149 general - our response to TfL's general consultation on
busPlus for Route 149 (one of the two pilot routes), Spring 2001
- Sections 4-6 of route 149 - our responses on the more detailed
proposals for these sections
- Route 38 - Graham Road and Dalston Lane. Our response
- Route 55 consultation is being undertaken by two different consultancy firms. Here are our responses
to the proposals made so far for the JMP section and for the WS Atkins section
- LBI Phase II is getting under way with the planning process for the flagship 253 route. Here are our initial suggestions. Please mail Oliver if you have further ideas for the 253 route.
