You demanded it, and how could we refuse? So here it is: Car-Free Ceilidh - a summer counterpart to Hackney LCC's ever-popular Burns Night fundraiser.

Delicious Mexican food will take the place of the winter event's fare of haggis, neeps and tatties, but the all-important live music and dancing will be as uninhibited as ever thanks to the presence once again of The Muckers, the fantastic six-piece ceilidh band that always gets the Burns Night dancefloor leaping. Prue of The Muckers walks the revellers through the steps of each dance, so no prior experience is required!

Of course there's no compulsion to dance if you'd rather just carry on chatting, drinking, mixing and mingling instead. A variety of beverages will be available all evening, and you can also try your luck in our grand raffle for a chance to win some great prizes donated by local bike shops and restaurants.

All profits from the night go to the London Cycling Campaign in Hackney, helping us to fund activities like Car Free Day, cycle training and our proposed health workers cycling promotion project, to name but a few.
