The London Cycling Campaign in Hackney requests the pleasure of your company at its sixth annual Burns Night supper and dance. Burns Night is always lot of fun - a great opportunity for LCC members, supporters and other friends to have a good time and let off a bit of steam in the dark days of winter. It's also the year's main fundraiser for Hackney LCC, with all profits going to our campaign fund, helping us to do a bigger and better job of promoting cycling in Hackney. So do come along (and book early as this is always a popular event).

At 7pm sharp, the traditional fare of haggis, neeps, tatties and whisky will be served. Vegetarians welcomed and well catered for. Recitations and party pieces will accompany supper. (If you'd like to give us a bit of Burns poetry, or if you can play a tune or sing a song with a more or less Scottish theme, you're very welcome to do a little turn. Many people have enjoyed doing this, and you don't need to be a professional by any means).

After supper, Scottish country dancing will be led by The Muckers, a cracking six-piece ceilidh band who always get the dancefloor leaping. Prue of The Muckers walks the revellers through the steps of each dance, so absolutely no experience is necessary!

There's no compulsion to dance if you'd rather just carry on chatting and drinking instead. A variety of beverages will be available all evening, and you can also try your luck in our Burns Night raffle for a chance to win some great prizes donated by local bike shops and restaurants.
